{"id":7939,"date":"2018-07-15T23:14:58","date_gmt":"2018-07-15T23:14:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fundamentalis.com\/?p=7939"},"modified":"2018-07-16T16:04:22","modified_gmt":"2018-07-16T16:04:22","slug":"weekly-sp-500-earnings-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fundamentalis.com\/?p=7939","title":{"rendered":"Weekly SP 500 Earnings Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From Thomson Reuters &#8220;This Week in Earnings&#8221;:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>Forward 4-qtr est:<\/strong><\/em> $168.26 vs last week&#8217;s $168.23<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>PE ratio:<\/strong> <\/em>16.6x<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>PEG ratio:<\/strong><\/em> 0.79x<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>SP 500 earnings yield:<\/strong><\/em> +6.01% vs last week&#8217;s 6.10%<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Year-over-year growth of fwd est:<\/strong><\/em> +21.14 vs last week&#8217;s +20.85%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This week &#8211; per Thomson Reuters IBES &#8211; we get another 60 of the SP 500 companies reporting earnings.<\/p>\n<p>There is no question the expected y\/y growth rate of SP 500 earnings has slowed the rapid ascent we saw in Q1 &#8217;18, but that is to be expected.<\/p>\n<p>The expected year-over-year growth rate of SP 500 earnings for 2019 and 2020 are still expected at 10% y\/y.
