{"id":5021,"date":"2015-07-31T16:33:42","date_gmt":"2015-07-31T16:33:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fundamentalis.com\/?p=5021"},"modified":"2015-07-31T16:33:42","modified_gmt":"2015-07-31T16:33:42","slug":"sp-500-earnings-ex-energy-ex-apple-q2-15-earnings-have-grown-7-6","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fundamentalis.com\/?p=5021","title":{"rendered":"SP 500 Earnings: Ex-Energy, Ex-Apple, Q2 &#8217;15 Earnings Have Grown +7.6%"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Trinity will have the Weekly Earnings Update as usual on Saturday, August 1, 2015, but after talking to Thomson Reuters today, I thought I&#8217;d share the following Q2 &#8217;15 earnings data with readers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>SP 500 Ex-Energy, Ex Apple: +7.6%\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>SP 500 Ex-Energy, Ex-Citi: +6.9%\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>SP 500: Ex-Energy, Ex-Apple, Ex-Citi: +5.7%\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Citi was facing easy comp&#8217;s this past Q2 &#8217;15, and Bank of America is facing easy comp&#8217;s in 2015 versus 2014, so these two banks are likely inflating the Financial&#8217;s expected 2015 earnings growth, as a sector.
